Kitchen Renovation
For the last 18 months we have been under the burden of renovating our church kitchen. What started out as an upgrade to the cooking equipment and a new floor and ceiling has turned into a major undertaking. As we delved into the project we found that the exhaust hood system was not up to code. The makeup air system was non-existent; hence way out of code. The fire suppression system was outdated and in violation of the fire codes. And the list goes on. And to complicate things, the state code requires a licensed contractor(s) to pull and perform all work since we are considered a commercial building, which prevents us from supplying some of the labor. We have been allowed to replace the kitchen ceiling.
We are desperately trying to raise the funds to correct all of these violations as well as to purchase the much needed new stoves and ovens. Thanks to the generosity of the church members and other donors we are at 60% of our goal. We still need to raise approximately $27,000 to finish the project.
We ask for the prayers of our visitors to our site that the Lord will continue to bless us in our endeavors to finish this project.

Mom 2 Mom Sale

 Brought to you by Great Lakes Christian Church. Do you have child related items that your kids have outgrown. Rent a table(s) and/or rack space and bring them to the Mom to Mom sale. Over 50 Tables/Spaces available to rent. Perhaps you're looking for gently used items for your child. This is an excellent opportunity for both sellers and shoppers. Strollers are welcome.
Limited tables are also available for vendors selling child related items.
Early bird sales: 8:00 - 9:00am Admission: $2.00
Regular sales hours: 9:00am - 2:00pm Admission: $1.00

6th Annual Flea Market and Craft Show
August 23 - 25, 2012
Mark your calendars! Come on out and support the church. All proceeds from
this event will go to the Church's kitchen renovation project.
The event runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
We're looking for vendors as well as "customers." If you have items
cluttering up your basement or garage, come on out and find a new home

We will have a food concession area serving lunch type items as well as baked goods
and soft serve ice cream. During the morning hours coffee and
